Affiliate Program Terms of Service

    Effective Date: November 3th, 2025

    Please review my terms in full, but here is one key point:

    Always share your affiliate link with ad disclosure. Your audience should always know when you receive a commission for a purchase. For more information about disclosure requirements, see these guidelines.

    Overview

    Please read this agreement carefully. By joining the Yellow Llama Co. Affiliate Program (the “Program”), you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Agreement”). If you don’t agree, do not participate in the Program.

    This Agreement is between Yellow Llama Co. (“Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”) and you (the “Affiliate,” “you,” “your”). It explains how our affiliate program works, how commissions are earned and paid, and what we expect from you as a partner.

    Our affiliate program is powered by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and manages affiliate accounts, tracking, and commission payments on our behalf.

    1. Enrollment

    To join, complete the affiliate interest form. After submitting your details, you will receive information on how to create an affiliate profile with Lemon Squeezy. Once your Lemon Squeezy affiliate account has been approved by their team, you can apply to the Yellow Llama Co. affiliate program through the Lemon Squeezy Affiliate Hub and be approved by me to receive access to your Yellow Llama Co. affiliate dashboard and unique tracking link. I personally review each application to ensure our partnership is a good fit and reserve the right to approve or decline applications at my discretion. Yellow Llama Co. reserves the right to re-evaluate your participation at any time and may terminate this Agreement or your participation in the program, with or without notice.

    2. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old and able to receive payouts through Lemon Squeezy’s supported countries. If your country is not supported, you unfortunately cannot participate. By joining, you confirm that your participation complies with local laws and any relevant tax obligations.

    3. Earning Commissions

    Only digital product sales made through yellowllamaco.com are eligible for affiliate commissions. Sales of paperback products or purchases made through shop.yellowllamaco.com (or any other storefronts operated by Yellow Llama Co.) are not included in this affiliate program.

    All commissions are tracked and processed via Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record.

    • Base Commission: 10% for every approved referral sale.
    • Attribution Window: Referrals are credited to the last affiliate link clicked within 30 days of purchase.
    • Discounts: Commissions are calculated based on the net sale amount after all discounts, coupons, or promotional reductions.
    • Refunds: If a customer refunds or reverses a purchase, the related commission is void (or deducted from future payouts).

    Bonus Tier Commissions: Affiliates can earn higher commission rates based on total referred sales from the prior calendar year:

    • 15% commission for 50+ referred sales
    • 20% commission for 100+ referred sales

    Affiliates are eligible to earn higher commissions (15% or 20%) during any calendar year in which they actively participate in the program and maintain their Status.

    Status changes are generally reviewed and applied on or around January 1st each year, based on your performance in the previous calendar year.

    If you reach a new tier early (for example, earning enough sales within your first calendar year with Yellow Llama Co.), I may update your commission rate before the next calendar year begins.

    Yellow Llama Co. may, at its discretion, award or adjust Status at other times during the year, grant Status or custom commission rates to Affiliates who have not yet met the sales threshold, or modify or revoke an Affiliate’s Status at any time with written notice.

    If an Affiliate leaves the program, is removed for violating the Terms of Service, or loses their qualifying Status, they will no longer earn higher-tier commissions on previous or future referrals until they re-qualify and regain Status in a subsequent year.

    4. Payment Schedule

    • Payouts are created on the 1st and 15th of each month for approved referrals and paid on the 14th and 28th.
    • Commissions are held for 30 days before becoming eligible for payout (to allow for refund periods and fraud checks).
    • Minimum payout threshold: $10 USD.
    • Payments are made to your bank account or PayPal and subject to Lemon Squeezy’s minor fees for processing and currency conversion.
    • Both bank and PayPal payouts will be made in USD.

    You are responsible for any taxes due on income you earn through the Program.

    5. Creative Freedom and Honesty

    You have full creative freedom to share content in your own style and voice. There are no quotas or content requirements. All I ask is that you follow disclosure practices, represent my products truthfully and do not imply that Yellow Llama Co. is affiliated with or endorsed by Electronic Arts, it’s licensors or any other game publisher.

    6. ASA & Advertising Compliance

    All affiliates must follow the ASA’s Endorsement and Disclosure Guidelines and any local laws on advertising and data protection. Your audience should always know when you receive a commission for a purchase. A clear statement like “I earn a commission if you buy through my link” and using clear language like “ad” is perfect.

    • Disclosures must be made as close as possible to the claims.
    • A plain language disclosure such as “I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post” and using clear language like “ad” would be sufficient. A disclosure of “affiliate link” by itself is not sufficient because consumers might not understand that “affiliate link” means that a commission payment will occur for purchases made through the link.
    • Use #ad where there isn’t sufficient room to explain more about the affiliate connection.
    • Disclosures should be placed above the fold; scrolling should not be necessary to find the disclosure (e.g., disclosure should be visible before the jump).
    • Pop-up disclosures are prohibited.
    • These standards apply to all advertising and messaging that uses the Link.

    Spam, misleading claims, or cookie-stuffing tactics are not allowed and will lead to removal from the program.

    7. Use of Brand Assets

    You may use Yellow Llama Co. logos, product images, and marketing materials provided in the affiliate hub. Do not alter these assets or create new ones that imitate our branding without permission. All brand assets remain property of Yellow Llama Co.

    8. Restricted Practices

    Please avoid:

    • Self-referrals (using your own link to buy).
    • Promoting your link on coupon or deal websites or run ads to promote your link.
    • Paid search ads using Yellow Llama Co. trademarks.
    • Spamming your affiliate link.
    • Content containing hate, harassment, adult, or illegal material.
    • Implying that Yellow Llama Co. is affiliate with or endorsed by Electronic Arts, it’s licensors or any other game publisher.
    • Sharing your affiliate link on channels you don’t own, such as Discord servers, subreddits or Facebook groups.
    • Sharing your affiliate link without ad disclosure.

    Violations may result in termination.

    9. Modification and Termination

    We may update these terms or adjust commission rates at any time. You’ll always find the latest version on our website and linked in the affiliate hub. I will inform you of any significant changes. Your continued participation means you accept those changes.

    Either party may end this agreement at any time with written notice. Upon termination, please remove your affiliate links and any Yellow Llama Co. branding from your channels. Commissions already earned and cleared before termination will be paid in the next scheduled payout.

    10. Independent Contractor Status

    You’re an independent affiliate, not an employee or agent of Yellow Llama Co. You cannot make commitments or representations on our behalf.

    11. Limitation of Liability

    Yellow Llama Co. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to your participation in the Program.

    All affiliate payments and account management are handled through Lemon Squeezy, which serves as the merchant of record. Yellow Llama Co. is not responsible for any technical issues, payment errors, or delays caused by Lemon Squeezy.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yellow Llama Co.’s total liability to you in connection with your participation in the affiliate program will not exceed the total commissions actually paid to you by Lemon Squeezy on behalf of Yellow Llama Co. during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to such liability.

    12. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold Yellow Llama Co. harmless from any claims arising out of your promotion activities, content, or violation of these terms or applicable laws.

    13. Confidentiality

    Any non-public information shared with you (such as performance data or upcoming product plans) must be kept confidential. You may not disclose it to third parties without permission.

    14. Dispute Resolution

    We hope to resolve any concerns amicably. If a dispute arises, please contact us first at hello[at]yellowllamaco.com so we can work toward a solution. If we can’t resolve it informally, disputes will be governed by the laws of Belgium, and handled through binding arbitration or small-claims court where applicable.

    15. Miscellaneous

    • This Agreement is the entire understanding between you and Yellow Llama Co. about the Affiliate Program.
    • If any part of this Agreement is found invalid, the rest remains enforceable.
    • Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of that term.
    • You cannot transfer your affiliate account without written consent.

    By joining the Yellow Llama Co. Affiliate Program, you confirm you’ve read, understood, and agree to these terms.
